More About my Approach
It is my goal to tailor your sessions to match who you are. Therapy is not a one size fits all. I bring professional knowledge, flexibility, integration and attunement to customize treatment to you. Beyond the primary approaches mentioned, I am trained in a variety of other therapeutic models and approaches that are integrated into therapy sessions. This allows for many different options in practicing within a context in which everyone is comfortable and open to growth.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
EMDR is all about reprocessing events and beliefs through bilateral stimulation allowing your brain to do all the work. Reprocessing the events and beliefs allow you to release the negative outlook on your experience which decreases the disturbance and distress it has in your life. This is a great approach for those that do not wish to talk about their stresses in detail. However, for those who do like to talk things out more, this integrates well with other approaches.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)
Have you ever found yourself saying “a part of me ‘this’, but a part of me ‘that'”? IFS addresses internal conflict that hinder our external experiences. IFS believes that we all have a Self that, at its core, can heal and guide. In addition to the Self, we also have parts that are in protective roles that take more extreme measures when distressed. This approach integrates well with others. Internal exploration can be done through guided meditation, talk therapy, play therapy and more.

Sandtray Therapy
Sandtray is a therapeutic approach that allows for non-verbal processing. Sandtray is an expressive therapy that lets the client tell their story through a visual representation. This integrates well with other approaches to aid in reaching goals.
